New Hosting Plans
AN22 is currently preparing to debut updated FreeBSD hosting plans, as well as introduce Linux hosting plans for the first time. Since opening, AN22 has only offered FreeBSD web hosting. We are very excited by the idea of offering both Linux and FreeBSD, giving clients the choice. Both sets of new plans will include increased bandwidth, more than double the current disk space, and much more.
Linux Hosting
What changes? The new Linux hosting plans will have a couple of exciting new features. First, our Linux hosting plans will begin AN22's support for PHP 5. FreeBSD plans will remain with PHP4 for the time being. By 2008 we intend for all our plans to fully support PHP 5. The existing PHP 4 version has been “end of lifed” by the PHP development team. This means there will be no further development or releases of PHP 4. Please see

User Accessible Backups
Secondly, the new Linux plans will expand support of our user accessible backups to include the users home directory, in addition to the email & database backups already available to FreeBSD hosting clients. All hosting clients web files are regularly backed up, and can be be restored by contacting our support team. With the new plans, Linux hosting clients will also have 30 days of backups of their web space, available directly from the HSphere control panel. This is great news for anyone who has ever accidentally deleted or overwritten an important file, as Linux web files may be restored without needing to contact support. We hope to bring this feature to our BSD hosting in the future.
